Week Four: ZipSetGo.com Goes Cruisin' in the Ford Fusion Sport

For week four of the Ford "Kick the Tires" series, we were cruisin' in a new 2011 Ford Fusion Sport! Check out our videos and blogs below and Ford-Life's Traveler's Guide to the 2011 Ford Fusion Sport.

This week I am rocking out in the Sexy Ford Fusion Sport!  The minute I saw this car, I liked the look of it – 18” painted aluminum wheels against and the Black color it’s beautiful.  I knew I was going to have a great time zipping around town in this car – key word Zipping!  This vehicle as some get up and go – and I caution you…. WATCH YOUR SPEED.  With its low road noise and Sound by Sony®– you get lost in the road trip and forget how fast you might be going.

As you know, I drive SUVs and vehicles with tow power, however I might be swayed with this car. It provides the stylish image and feature functions I want and need in a vehicle. I am also getting really spoiled with the Rapid Spec 402A Ford has perfected and can’t believe I have been driving around without it.   What the Rapid Spec 402A provides is the creature-comforts like Dual Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control, Power Moonroof, Sound by Sony®, 1st-row driver and passenger heated seats (which is a must in ANY vehicle I have), 4-way power passenger seat, ambient lighting (even the cup holders), heated mirrors with security approach lamps, SecuriCode™ keyless entry pads, universal garage door opener and must-have BLIS™ (Blind Spot Information System). I know you can get caught up in the “new fangled” things auto makers are putting in cars and think you don’t need them for this or that reason, but several of the features in the Rapid Spec 402A are safety features and options you SHOULDN’T live without.

This week we had the Ford Fusion Sport to cruise around town in, and I was looking forward to it as it’s the car closest comparison to the car I drive.  I am getting used to the great Ford features like rear-view mirror back up assistance and Sirius radio. This car also notifies you when a car is in the blind spot, via side view mirror which is also a fantastic feature.

The car drives really well, it definitely has pick-up and go, especially on the highway. So far, I think all of the Fords have been great to drive, and have handled well.

Another great thing about the Fusion is that it does come in Hybrid, which greatly improves its city mileage, but only slightly improves highway miles per gallon.  I was a little disappointed to see that the hybrid version doesn’t really compare as far as  MPG with other hybrid’s on the market, getting about 10 mpg under its competition.

Overall, the Ford Fusion Sport is a great sedan for those looking for a young looking car with some “get up and go” that you can still drive to a business meeting.

It was my first time to sit in the 2011 Ford Fusion Sport provided to ZipSetGo.com by Lebanon Ford and I quickly realized that April and I have very different preferred driver-seat positions. You see, April had driven the car just prior to me and the seat felt to me like it was sitting very low, almost reclined and was positioned very close to the steering wheel (despite our similar height). I, on the other hand, prefer to sit up very straight and as high as possible when driving. Clearly, April is a more relaxed driver than me. Fear not, with the touch of just a couple user-friendly buttons, I easily navigated the comfortable leather seat into a position of my liking.

If fact, I found the interior of the Ford Fusion Sport to be quite comfortable and user-friendly overall. While not overly techie (which is typically my preference), the features were classic, easy-to-find and plentiful. Of course, the Fusion has the reserve view feature in the rear view mirror that has become a favorite among the ZipSetGo crew.  The leather seats with French stitching are a great, upscale look! And, the trunk cargo room, as demonstrated by Caitlin, is ample.

The V6 engine in the Fusion Sport also gives it lots of power…if you are into that sort of thing. Personally, I do not have a big “need for speed” in my soccer mom life, but this car had it if I wanted it. It was definitely fun to drive, a smooth ride and a great mid-size car that can be both sporty and professional. But, with this sort of power, you do sacrifice gas mileage and with my 150-mile, round-trip commute, I continue to long for a more fuel efficient car.

You got a very helpful weblog I've been right here reading through for about an hour or so. I'm the beginner as well as your achievement is extremely a lot a good motivation personally. xbox repair shops

I had got a chance to take a test drive of Ford fusion when I have attended an auto show of 2011 at Bangalore. It was really an amazing experience to drive. It's not a fast car as compared to the other cars. i liked to drive my Skoda Fabia rather driving this.

I think, Ford fusion is one of the best and user friendly car to get around. I have really enjoyed reading your post. However, I have found so many interesting things. Ford is the most famous brand all over the world. I would like to drive this car.

Ford Cars

I have driven the Ford Fushion and agree that is a good all round car. We hired one for the weekend and it travelled well even with the boot full up to the brim with camping stuff, clothes, my wife, three children and myself. Often when cars are overloaded like this they dont pull away as quick and handle differently, but not so with the Focus. Alright it was a bit different, but not a great deal slower or less responsive. Ford Fushions are growing in popularity within the contract hire market due to their all round versatility and therefore make great sales rep cars.

Someone needs to at least have done a tad of research. the sport model is only in a 263hp 3.5 duratec, has 18" wheels, goodyear gsa's, smoked chrome, side skirts, and leather interior...amongst other things the other models don't have.

I think this is the best car to to get around. In car blogs you get to learn so many interesting things about cars;from car accessories to vintage cars to high performing sports cars everything is on the blogs. From one such blogs I got to know about auto donations program and I decided to take part in it.

A car needs to be user friendly to be popular. When we buy cars we should go for a test drive; this gives us a clear idea about the car. Also it is essential to check the car especially if you are buying an used car. I checked the car I bought from Salt Lake City used cars dealer.
