As I was sitting at work negotiating the second contract of the day, when it dawned on me that if I ever lost the travel bug – I could be an attorney and as a matter of fact I should have Esquire at the of my name now!! Well that might be stretching it but I think one day – I would make a hell of a paralegal. One of my favorite things about this industry has always been the “Art of the Sale” meaning:

I was a little skeptical when a good friend of mine called and suggested we head down to Biloxi, Mississippi, for some gambling and the New Orleans Jazz Festival. Well, even though I was skeptical, I have never had a bad time in the “Big Easy,” and I had never been to Biloxi so, why not….? I packed my bags and headed out the door – short notice, but I am always ready to hit the road!

The first New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in April, 1970, was born out of a spontaneous, momentous meeting where multiple jazz and music festivals happening the same weekend came upon each other setting up their separate festivals and started singing and playing their instruments together. And when others joined in the celebration, the “Spirit of Jazz Fest” was born.

Many people love to take road trips! They pack up their cars and their family to hit the highways and by-ways of this country – destined to explore and find adventure and those hidden gems they will talk about for years after the family vacation. They have visions of what it’s going to be like to see miles of scenery, eat in little roadside diners and stop at the biggest ball of twine for a family picture. Many vacationers go miles out of their way and say they took the “scenic route,” and wear it like a badge of honor.

So you think you can keep up?  I’m ready to go any time, any place. You could say I’m an action-junkie. When you see us out, you’ll recognize me, I’m the one chatting to anyone and everyone, because you never know who you might run into.

My philosophy: Life is an adventure! Live it. I‘m on the move . . . I like to do new things and push myself to new levels. I don’t sit on the sidelines to watch the game; I’m in it to win it!

I've spent the last 20 years in the travel and tourism industry . . . it is what I know and love. My experience encompasses all aspects of travel from pre-sale to operations and registration to auditing . . . I have been there, seen it all and done it all. I have the vision to create innovative, high-end, high-impact incentive programs that deliver strong ROIs for my Fortune 500 clients. I demonstrate financial acumen through my negotiating skills, keen project management skills and in-depth understanding of program logistics.

I have intimate knowledge of the ins and outs of the process. I know what hotels, destination management companies and venues expect, and what they will concede . . . it is all in how you ask the questions and willingness to collaborate for a win-win outcome. I serve on several industry advisory boards and attend industry events around the world to share knowledge and to stay “ahead of the curve.”

My mantra: See the world. Make a difference. Leave things better than you found them.
