Q1. Best thing about traveling alone?

  • Set a budget, couchsurf, hostel-hop, think outside the box. Walk instead of taking taxis, take a train instead of plane @TheTrvlPrincess
  • learn to scrub and dry your clothes proper in sinks and dry on radiators and skip $$$ hotel laundry @2trucks1week
  • Make friends all over the world and stay with them when you travel. @eurapart

Q6. How do you connect with others while traveling alone?

Q7. Best/worst destinations for solo travelers? Why?  

  • Best? Another country that speaks (or can speak) your own language so its easier to explore and connect! @ismtravels

  • I also love New York - it is so easy to get lost in the crowd, you just never feel you are alone. @earthypets

Q8.  Guidelines for staying safe when alone on the road?

  • Grow a beard, wear a hat, and stare people down. Or, just be friendly. But, I'll go with beard-hat-stare. @kerrinsheldon

Q9. Drawbacks of hitting the road alone?   

  • No one to split the bill with or (more importantly) share the experience with @FareBuzz
  • Who is gonna know when you hit that hole in one, ride the killer wave or stick that big air jump? Need corroboration sometimes @MalloryOnTravel
  • Missing my dog! Oops, I mean missing husband and dog! @monicaprelle
