OVERVIEW
Things to do in Tuscany Italy
This great region, including the mountains and sea, has a thousand faces, colors, scents and flavors. The extraordinary variety of the landscape, the traditions and superb artistic and cultural patrimony make Tuscany the emblem and the synthesis of Italy. From the rocky peaks of the Apuanas Alps to the snow-covered peaks of the Apennines, from the gentle rolling green hills of the countryside to the glorious white beaches and summer resorts, Tuscany embodies genius, culture and art.
In the heart of Tuscany lies the ancient city of Florence. Florence, like no other European city, epitomizes the spirit of the Renaissance. From the 14th to 16th centuries, what was considered “cutting edge” in the arts, science and architecture found its greatest expression here. The artists Giotto, Brunelleschi, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli, the political philosopher Machiavelli, the scientist Galileo and the writers Dante and Petrarch made Florence, at one time or another, home.

Tuscany is gorgeous, enchanting, magnificent, beautiful and all the great words I could ever think of. There’s a great deal of shops with impressive textiles and luxurious clothes. We delighted ourselves shopping at various designer boutiques. My friends and I consider shopping as our favorite pastime (I think most women do) so it was really heaven on Earth. We were able to try the very famous Florentine steak partnered with one of the best high quality wines in town. I’m pretty sure we’ll return to this beautiful place as often as we could.
