I recently had an opportunity to take a group for a stay at the Pelican Hill Resort and Golf Club. Here are my top ten reasons that make The Resort at Pelican Hill and Golf Club a great choice for a group or individual stay.
Reason 1: Individual bungalows
The unique design of the Pelican Hill Resort property allows all guests to have individual bungalows ranging from 847 sq feet to 1639 sq feet. The rooms are amazing, and are designed to make you feel as comfortable as if you were in your own home. A few of my favorite amenities included:

Kitchenette with a toaster, coffee maker and mini-bar. And the coffee included in the room is an organic medium roast from Guatemala – YUM!

Reason 2: Great group hotel
The Pelican Hill Resort is definitely a top-notch place to stay and a great group hotel! The hotel team truly knows how to make your group stay memorable. While I was there, there were groups of all sizes and types coming and going, but I never felt like we were forgotten.
Reason 3: Top-notch service level
The Pelican Hill Resort banquet staff takes care of and works as a cohesive team to ensure your group’s events go smoothly. The Pelican Hill banquet captains frequently check in and continuously work to improve your group’s experience. I could tell from the beginning of my stay that all Pelican Hill staff members are well trained and experienced when it comes to taking care of the people in the Pelican Hill Resort.
Reason 4: Friendly staff
The Pelican Hill staff is always interested in the comfort and experience of the people who stay in their hotel.
Reason 5: Close to popular restaurants and activities
This is one of my favorite things about being near a city; there is plenty to do and see both on and off the property. Pelican Hill is about 15 minutes from the Orange County Airport and 45 minutes from LAX. And there is great shopping in both Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. Be sure to check out the shops at Fashion Island or Crystal Cove Promenade. But my favorite shops and restaurants were in Laguna Beach.
Reason 6: Beautiful golf course
Pelican Hill Golf Course offers two different courses: Ocean North and Ocean South. Both courses are picturesque and the views and landscaping seem unreal. The staff at the golf course really knows what they are doing; they take care of your every need while on the course.
Reason 7: Large relaxing spa
Located off the main lobby, the Pelican Hill Resort spa is very centrally located and easy to get to. With 22 private rooms, you are sure to receive the service you need.
Reason 8: Large meeting space
The Resort at Pelican Hill is great for indoor/outdoor functions – I loved the way the ballroom opens up to the Pacific Ocean. Once the doors are open to the patio, the view is of the 18th hole and the ocean, a great place for your meeting’s break.
Reason 9: Beautiful scenery

Reason 10: Hotel shuttles
Pelican Hill offers shuttles to anywhere you need to go on property because it’s such a large, spread out resort. Take advantage of it, especially if you need to get somewhere quickly!
