I am not a sports fan, and I don’t claim to be one, but a baseball game over the weekend in Chicago made me realize why baseball is America’s favorite pastime.

Since it was Sunday, July 4th, spirits were high headed into the game. Our gang was decked out in “America” gear, all sporting red, white and blue. But just because those were Cub’s colors, doesn’t mean we were rooting for the home team. We were all from Ohio, and went to undergrad at University of Dayton or Cincinnati, so the Red’s were our team!

I just spent the Fourth of July weekend in Chicago. Every time I visit, I try to do at least one touristy thing in addition to enjoying my friends, and this weekend it was the Architecture River Cruise.

On a recent trip to San Francisco, we ventured north for a Napa Valley Wine Tour. The Napa Valley is just about an hour from San Francisco. A Napa Valley wine tour is just the kind of activity to while away a California day. Wineries can really do no wrong in my book. What better way to spend time with or making new friends, take in a little history, architecture, culture and art and then there’s great wine. What could be better than a Napa Valley wine tour?

So I only had seven hours to spend in the beautiful city of Boston, MA, which made it a very quick tour of Boston. Thanks to great suggestions from @adventurouskate and @theexplorateur, I hit up nearly every suggested place and had a great walking tour of Boston getting to sample the restaurants, Boston’s great brews, landmarks and historic places.
