I was a little skeptical when a good friend of mine called and suggested we head down to Biloxi, Mississippi, for some gambling and the New Orleans Jazz Festival. Well, even though I was skeptical, I have never had a bad time in the “Big Easy,” and I had never been to Biloxi so, why not….? I packed my bags and headed out the door – short notice, but I am always ready to hit the road!

One of the things I like to do when I go to Las Vegas is treat myself to a show! Some people love it and some hate to think they are missing casino time to sit and watch another Cirque show – but I LOVE IT!

Wondering what to do in Sydney? Here are just a few ideas:

There are plenty of great places to dine and drink in Sydney, but by far my favorite turned out to be the Argyle, located on Argyle Street in  histroic “Rocks” area of Sydney. It didn’t come with the pretentiousness of some of the other more hip places that I had visited, and it still had a nice size crowd to mix with.

All the bars in the Temple Bar area in Dublin are great. The people are fun and the atmosphere cannot be matched anywhere else in the world. However, the best is the aptly named Temple Bar; it has a little something extra. During the day there is live music upstairs; a little loud for conversation, but still great anyways.

After dinner at Da Moritz on my second night in Vienna, we headed to Eulennest on Himmelpfortgasse. The name of the bar means “owl’s nest” in German, and it was a small, intimate venue, with seating at only a few tables and the bar. I enjoyed a glass of Austrian wine and a few sips of the apricot schnapps. I also enjoyed perusing the wine selection, which, by the way, was the décor of the bar – the walls were covered with various bottles of all shapes and sizes.

If you’re looking for a touristy hot spot in Bora Bora with live entertainment and a view, Bloody Mary’s is the place to go. It has a great laidback environment where you can take pictures and enjoy the island in its best form. And if you are into fresh seafood, well I don’t think you’ll find any fresher than here; their seafood is prepared right in front of you. The fish is laid out when you walk in; you select your cut and a few cooking minutes later it’s there as your meal.

Continuing the Prague after-dinner pub crawl adventure tour with pub two – U Medvidku, a very large pub that also happens to make great pretzels. There are two main areas to this place, both of which are very loud, but the atmosphere is great. The food and beer, however, not so much. And the service wasn’t terrific. Plus, the language barrier made communication very difficult. I suggest leaving this one off of your “places to visit” list.

Your dining choices in Prague are plenty, and while I was there, I tried someplace different every night. On my third night, I made my way to Bellevue, located on the same street as many of the upscale designer shops. The first thing you’ll notice when you walk through the doors is the atmosphere; this is a quaint little restaurant, perfect for romantic dinners or private parties. And then there’s the food: a selection of so many delectable entries that it was hard to make a decision. Let me just say that no matter what you end up ordering, you won’t be disappointed.

There’s so much to see and do in Las Vegas that it’s easy to get overwhelmed if you don’t have a plan. I found that one of the best things to do as soon as you arrive is to take stock of the strip to find out what’s there and decide what you want to do right away.

With map in hand, here’s my hit list:
