OVERVIEW
Things to do in Tanzania
A World Heritage site situated at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania, the three-million year old Ngorongoro Crater is the called “Africa’s Garden of Eden.” This area of great biodiversity enchants with tall mountains, deep fissures and gorges, sheltering forests, grasslands, fresh springs and the sparkling soda lake in its center. Living within the conservation area around the crater, the nomadic Maasai people in their bright red robes create ornate beadwork and tend to their cattle.
The word Serengeti is derived from the Maasai word Siringit which means “extended place.” The area’s unique ecosystem supports abundant flora and fauna with wide open plains teeming with wild animals roaming the beautiful and dramatic landscape. The Serengeti is home to the greatest remaining concentration of wildlife in Africa including huge prides of lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, giraffes and solitary leopards. Millions of gazelles, zebras and wildebeests make an annual migration across the Serengeti moving from the short grass plains north in search of water and fresh grass. This is the “real” Africa that most people envision when they think of the continent; a land of mystery, drama and exotic wild animals in their natural habitat.

Comments
Africa may be filled with safari but what makes Tanzania quite special is the “Cradle of Mankind” which got me curious after watching a Jolie movie. The whole experience of visiting Tanzania is a memorable one. In fact I still the place pictured in my memory. I would recommend this place to every tourist who is up for an adventure and for those who are fond of wild animals.
