Looking for a unique and classic French restaurant in Paris? How about Restaurant Helene Darroze? Restaurant Helene Darroze features a different menu every night, serving up the best of the area – and it has received a Michelin Star.
I loved this restaurant! It offered a tasting menu, so I knew I was getting something totally unique and different.
A few things to note: as an American, mind your P’s and Q’s (per say) – this is a classic French restaurant. Which means you will not be in and out within an hour. The tasting menu takes close to three hours to complete. With seven courses, including two starters, three mains and two desserts, you will certainly leave comfortably full. In between each course, you are given some time to digest and enjoy the previous dish. Be ready to try some new and unique things; pigeon was an entrée served the night I was there. Also, be ready to drop a few dollars. Restaurant Helene Darroze does offer different menu and beverage tasting options for those who are not interested in a surprise when the bill arrives.
All in all, totally worth the price; make it a special date night in Paris. And don’t forget your reservations!
