On my recent Pacific Coast Highway roadtrip, I made a brief stop in the quaint little town of Carmel-by-the-Sea. This luxurious area, filled with boutique shops, high-end galleries and incredible dining, is frequented by rich and famous from around the globe and has been written about ad nauseum by journalists and bloggers alike.
Despite throngs of tourists every day to Carmel-by-the-Sea, the cleanliness and meticulous upkeep at every turn was inescapable. You can tell a lot about a place, by how the "back of the house" is run, so here are some photos of back alleys and walkways that give you a glimpse into the unique personality of this charming and pristine little paradise.
