Overview

This event takes dining to a new level, with a dazzling array of drinking, dining and entertaining pleasure. A plethora of African dishes—including Chobe specialties like “pap” (maize) and “marog” (local spinach) are sure to satisfy your desire for exotic cuisine with the real flavor of Africa. Deluxe food stations laden with delicacies are perfectly complemented by traditional wooden log tables and chairs and flaming torches surrounding the perimeter. Guests are welcomed to a regal feast by an African elder seated at the glowing bonfire. African maidens assist with the customary washing of hands before dinner. And for thirsty palates, the local beer maker offers tastes of traditional beers, as craftspeople proudly display their beadwork, weavings and pottery. A “sangoma,” or traditional healer also holds sway with his predictions derived from throwing the “bones.” Against a backdrop of a marimba band and native Ngoni tribe dancers and singers, this special evening offers a kaleidoscope of sights, sounds and tastes!
