The tour of Johannesburg and Soweto City begins with a stop on Diagonal Street to visit the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Then you will see where two Nobel Prize winners crossed paths – Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.
Next, it is off to Soweto, Johannesburg’s twin city populated exclusively by black people (an acronym for South-Western Townships), with a visit to the Mandela Squatter Camp and with a stop at Freedom Square. It is the largest black township in the country consisting of 26 townships, each of which was designed to be independent. The township of Soweto as a whole could be called multiracial, in the sense that its residents are from all the tribes in South Africa
The last stop will be on the street where Mr. Mandela grew up, the home of Archbishop Tutu and Winnie Mandela’s home.
