Chobe River Fishing
Chobe River Fishing

- Deep Sea Fishing

Take a boat for two on the Chobe and encounter tigerfish, one of the great freshwater game fish in abundance. A powerful, swift predator, the tigerfish demands a great deal of skill and is a thrill to catch. A good river specimen can weigh over 15 pounds. Bream and tilapia also inhabit the river in large numbers, and although they don’t fight as aggressively as the tigerfish, a five-pound fish can quickly snap light tackle, given half the chance. Spinners and lures are most commonly used, although light tackle, a fly and a fly rod are gaining popularity, bringing an added dimension to this very exciting sport. Even the most exacting fisherman will be delighted with fishing on the Chobe!
