  • Hotels are pricey, as are meals and activities
  • A Russian Visa is required for all those visiting the country
  • The Russian visa can either be a passport-sized paper document that is separate from your passport or a sticker in your passport
  • The visa lists entry/exit dates, passport number, children travelling, if any, with you and visa type
  • The visa is imparitive when you leave the country; don't lose it or overstay your visit or you will have a difficult time leaving the country

OVERVIEW

Things to do in Moscow

The capital of Russia and the largest city in the country, Moscow is a breathtaking beauty of broad streets and buildings constructed on a grand and mythological scale. From golden onion domes glittering in the sun to Red Square, home of some of Moscow’s most famous landmarks, to the “people's palace,” the Moscow metro, the city boasts a legacy built on a rich and turbulent history. Some of the world’s most significant art, architecture and performing arts call Moscow home, including the Bolshoi Ballet, Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the Kremlin Armory and St. Basil’s Cathedral.

Shopping opportunities abound in the city, including GUM department store with its world-famous collection of shops and boutiques inside a stunning 19th-century arcade; TSUM’s modern shops; Tretyakovksi Street where the hautest of haute couture is available; and Tverskaya Street with various shops and cafés. Dining rivals Europe’s finest cities for innovation and creativity, and once the sun sets, the city’s nightclubs and bars stay open well into the early morning hours for high-energy dancing and fun Moscow-style.

Comments

I would certainly find it hard to think of any dragging moments having visited Russia. Moscow is overflowing with exciting and fun activities to do and places to check out just like the Tverskaya street which holds plenty shops and boutiques.  I never realized how diverse Russian cuisine and I was even surprised to try their different kinds of soup, as one of their staple meal. There’s just so much more to learn about Russia and what better way to do this than actually being in this amazing country.
