French Connections

Back to international travel … and flying to FRANCE! I was really looking forward to this trip. I flew business-class direct from Washington, DC – so what’s not to look forward to? (Other than no sleep.)  Air France’s business-class is amazing – it will definitely be hard to go back to economy-class after that flight. Shortly after we were airborne I surfed the in-flight TV movies; many were not yet even on DVD! Two movies, dinner and a short nap and we were in Paris! After 45 minutes in the customs line and collecting my luggage, I was on my way to my hotel in Deauville, France, roughly two hours west of Paris. Perfect time for a quick nap, because it was still dark out; it was a beautiful drive, though, once the sun came up.
