Under Water in Turks and Caicos
Submitted by Sara Beth on Tue, 08/30/2011 - 14:11
How frequently do you go snorkeling when visiting warm island destinations? Well, for me, I’d have to say my time spent in the water are few and far between, that is until recently. Turks and Caicos is known to have some of the most beautiful water in the Caribbean, and has through the years received multiple awards for best beaches, honeymoon destination, best hotels as well as best diving location. I have to agree on all accolades including best diving, or rather, best snorkeling.

Tweets from Last Night: Off the Beaten Path
Submitted by Travelers Night In on Fri, 07/08/2011 - 08:03
Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken" was great inspiration for this week's #TNI which was all about traveling Off the Beaten Path. #TNI tweeps discussed their adventures while taking the road less traveled, and had the chance to win $500 dollar vouchers and Lonely Planet guide books from #TNI sponsor @peregrinespirit.
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--I took the one less traveled by, and that makes all the difference."--Robert Frost

While vacationing at the Grand Velas Rivera Maya with the family this month, my husband and I were able to introduce our children to the Grand Velas’s version of Snuba®. What is Snuba®? It’s a unique, shallow water diving system, bridging the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving.

Something Rough that is Beautiful Inside
Submitted by April on Thu, 06/23/2011 - 09:07
My family was hiking last weekend and we came upon some rocks and one thing we love is rocks. We love to collect them, make rock gardens in our yard and skip them on a hot day by a river. But this weekend after studying these rocks a little closer they looked like they could be Geodes which is a wonderful find!

Owl Prowl
Submitted by April on Mon, 06/20/2011 - 09:02
I recently went on an Owl Prowl – what is that you ask? It’s an evening at a state park spent with a naturalist learning about owls and their habitat and then going on a night hike to observe them during their busiest time of the day.

Submitted by April on Tue, 06/07/2011 - 11:15
On our last trip to Cancun, staying at the Dreams Riviera Cancun, we were ready for some adrenaline. The GoGirls are experts at the Zipline, so of course we were excited to see what Cancun had to offer at Selvatica. The adventure filled Selvatica has an ‘extreme zipline adventure’ with 12 ziplines in the Mexican jungle.
