A lot of my travel is for business – I work for an incentive company with a large travel department after all. But lately it hasn’t been site inspections at luxury hotels or week long events for clients; I’ve been traveling for meetings and conferences. It’s a whole new world out there!

One place I have always wanted to go is South Africa! The Table Mountain National Park is not only a relatively new park to be explored - it's also a world heritage site. Although I haven't been, we have a guest blogger on hand to tell you the best things to see an do - make sure to keep your eyes peeled for baboons!

I recently took a trip to London - well not so recently now! My trip was right before the Olympics in June. I absolutely loved the city, and was enthralled by the people and the overall cleanliness of such a world hub! Until I have time to catch up on writing about my London adventure, read on for the best things to do in London after the Olympics, and where to stay from a guest blogger.

This summer I am traveling back to Europe, and of course taking quite a few trains during my adventure. I love taking trains, not only for the scenery, but for the soak everything in, and prepare and dream about the next destination. Ready for your own train journey? Shin from Hostel Bookers has shared the most scenic train voyages and how to win European Rail passes!

Paradise is closer than you think no need to escape to Bali or plan an elaborate trip to Fiji – real paradise is in the U. S. Virgin Islands! Have you ever seen water so perfectly clear and blue?

The Virgin Islands are famous for fresh caught seafood, but if you dig a little deeper they have much more to offer than that. I admit, I did eat most of my meals at my hotel during my lovely stay in the Virgin Islands, but every time I ventured out I was more than pleasantly surprised with the cuisine.

I really love St. Patrick’s Day, and always celebrate wherever I am (usually Ohio) by doning a green wig and heading to a local Irish bar. This year I decided to step up my St. Paddy’s celebration and head to the windy city that is famous in the Midwest for knowing how to celebrate the saint. Chicago is known for its hearty St. Patrick’s Day celebration, most notably dying the river that runs through downtown green and having a huge parade on the south side.

In recent years, it seems like vegetarianism and veganism is catching on. Instead of surfing the vegetable section of Betty Crocker, vegetarian cookbooks often have an entire shelf at the local book store. There are vegan bloggers galore, and in large cities there are often entire restaurants dedicated to the diet. But what happens if you leave the comfort of home to travel while vegan?

Vegas is known for gambling, clubs and fine dining, and of course shows! The heavy hitters like Celine and Elton John were on break when I visited, fortunately Vegas had much more in store.

After Thursday's Travelers' Night In all about hotels I was inspired. Hotels can be so much more than just a place to lay your head after a long day of adventure. They should embody the place you are visiting, and show off what the destination has to offer. So much of a hotel experience can be in the view from the room, something often overlooked. I know I have picked a cheaper 'garden view' rather than splurge for what could have been stunning scenery. But what better way to wake up and be reminded why it is we travel?

I’m a culture fanatic! I love to immerse myself in a destination’s culture and experience the richness of what it offers through its people, foods, arts, entertainment, shopping and sightseeing. You simply cannot appreciate a destination without understanding its culture. It seems the more cultures I learn about the more I learn about myself! I’ll travel anywhere, anytime. Give me a days notice and I’m gone, ready to take on my next adventure. My philosophy: My current position has me working in the performance-improvement industry where I scout out exotic destinations, rate the best hotels, discover new restaurants, try out different activities . . . it’s a blast. I like to jump in with both feet and experience life first-hand. Life goal: To do what I’m doing now . . . travel to exotic places and continue to build my art collection. Right now, traveling the world is the biggest adventure this life has to offer.
