I have been trying to tap into my artistic side in 2011 and have been taking classes at a local gallery with my daughter who is a bright young artist – unlike her mother! We have been taking glass mosaic, painting, pottery courses and I have found that I love to work and create with glass.

In keeping with the Travelers’ Night In #TNI topic this week, Edible Travel, I thought I would share my fish taco sauce recipe. I love fish tacos and I order them almost exclusively while traveling to destinations where fresh fish is plucked out of the water in the early morning and is on your plate by lunch!

Recently National Geographic named the top 10 US Boardwalks and Atlantic City’s Boardwalk walked away with top honors!  NatGeo called it “the grandfather of boardwalks” and I would have to agree.  I had the pleasure of spending sometime in AC this summer with my girlfriends for a weekend away.

Recently in the #TNI twitter feed Robert Cole bought up a good point; “@RobertKCole: So @klout says @ZipSetAndrea, @GoApril & @ZipSetCaitlin are Specialists but @ZipSetRachel is a Celebrity! #TNI”

This past weekend my family and I decided to take a drive into the country and visit some family owned farmers markets.  There is nothing better in the summer then Ohio sweet corn, pickled beets, and fresh lettuce just picked, the list could go on and on. Our first stop we are excited to see peaches in season and ripe heirloom tomatoes.

How many of you know the names of people who work at “your” airport?  Many faces have come and gone at “my airport” throughout the years, but one in particular has been consistent and she and I share the love of literature. I have for many years called her my “Bookie”.

While vacationing at the Grand Velas Rivera Maya with the family this month, my husband and I were able to introduce our children to the Grand Velas’s version of Snuba®. What is Snuba®?  It’s a unique, shallow water diving system, bridging the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving.

So you think you can keep up?  I’m ready to go any time, any place. You could say I’m an action-junkie. When you see us out, you’ll recognize me, I’m the one chatting to anyone and everyone, because you never know who you might run into. My philosophy: Life is an adventure! Live it. I‘m on the move . . . I like to do new things and push myself to new levels. I don’t sit on the sidelines to watch the game; I’m in it to win it! I've spent the last 20 years in the travel and tourism industry . . . it is what I know and love. My experience encompasses all aspects of travel from pre-sale to operations and registration to auditing . . . I have been there, seen it all and done it all. I have the vision to create innovative, high-end, high-impact incentive programs that deliver strong ROIs for my Fortune 500 clients. I demonstrate financial acumen through my negotiating skills, keen project management skills and in-depth understanding of program logistics. I have intimate knowledge of the ins and outs of the process. I know what hotels, destination management companies and venues expect, and what they will concede . . . it is all in how you ask the questions and willingness to collaborate for a win-win outcome. I serve on several industry advisory boards and attend industry events around the world to share knowledge and to stay “ahead of the curve.” My mantra: See the world. Make a difference. Leave things better than you found them.
